First I want every Indian citizen in India and abroad wishes on the auspicious day of the Day of the Republic of India (January 26). As we all know, on January 26, 1950. India declared as a republican country, and the Constitution of India was put into effect.

Republic Day is the day where we commemorates 26 January, the day when the “The constitution of India” came into force way back in 1950. I wish to clarify the real meaning of republic day but before that we need to understand what is a “constitution” and why it is so important for our country that we celebrate its adoption on 26th January every year.

Our constitution lays down the framework  of fundamental rights, gives power to government and tells us about our duties as a responsible citizens. Overall, you can’t expect a democratic free country with a constitution. Today, I’m feeling proud that we are living in “Republic of India” just because of our constitution. We must not forget the role of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar for drafting such a powerful constitution of India.

After the constitution is made, entered into force on 26 January 1950. Since that day, January 26 reminds us this auspicious day and we celebrate it every year as our Republic Day. As India Republic was this day, so it is called as Republic Day. After making the Constitution, to change things and our country began to become a very strong and established republic. Many activities, such as elections, industrialization, agriculture etc staged in our country.

As a developing country, still with all the problems we make our economic progress and the road to a rising and a developed country in the next few days, because unity is our strength in diversity. Our good step in the direction of the nation today, will lead to a better and prosperous future and thus eliminating all barriers to developing country so that should an Indian and a part of such a great nation to be proud of.

We have Bhagath singh, Lajpath Rai who fought for us against the british remember our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi. It does not mean we have only to Republic Day to remember their sacrifices to the nation, but every day we have to remember and salute them.
